Privacy Policy — Sallum App

We are committed to protecting our users' privacy. This policy explains what data the Sallum app collects, why, and how it is used and protected.

1. Data we collect

When you create an account or sign in we collect: your mobile phone number (the account identifier, verified via a code sent by SMS), your name, and your email address if provided. The app also contains a family tree which may include family members' names, relationships, dates of birth and photos, entered by family members themselves or by family administrators.

2. User-submitted content

Users may submit content within the app such as announcements, comments, contact requests, and aid requests with their supporting documents. This content is stored on our servers and is only accessible to authorized roles.

3. Notifications

We use Google's Firebase Cloud Messaging to deliver push notifications, which requires storing a device notification identifier. Verification codes are sent through an SMS provider; the phone number is shared with it solely to deliver the message.

4. How data is used

Data is used only to operate the app's services: authentication, the family tree, announcements, the calendar, and fund services. We do not sell data or share it with third parties for marketing. The app contains no commercial ads and no analytics trackers.

5. Data protection

Data is stored on secured servers with access restricted to authorized personnel, and in-app visibility is limited by each user's permissions.

6. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account and data — via the in-app "Contact us" feature or by email at contactus@almutanabi.ai.

7. Policy updates

This policy may be updated from time to time to remain compliant with applicable regulations; changes are published in the app and on this page.
